JT's RV Accessories—A Company Born of Innovation

Jim Thorpe founded JT's RV Accessories in 2004. Jim sold JT's RV to Lippert Components Inc. July 2008. Happijac a division of Lippert Components Inc. is producing and marketing JT's great products. Jim was a designer and builder of award winning racecar chassis and therefore no stranger to suspension stabilization. At age 12, Jim built his first midget racer and by the time he graduated from high school, had completely fabricated three 500HP super-modified racecars for clients.

Years later, working as crew chief for Kenny Roger's sprint car team, Jim added to his significant experience in the world of racecar suspension. As a result, Jim started his own sprint car manufacturing company and developed many aftermarket suspension kits and parts for the automotive industry thus Liteweight Industries was formed.

Living on the road with a race car team means lots of time spent in an RV. For Jim, it was a top-of-the-line 5th wheel. But having never lived in a 5th wheel before, he was surprised at the amount of chassis movement, even when the RV was leveled and chocked.

Not willing to live in a shaky home with wife and family, Jim drew from his many years of chassis fabrication and suspension design and developed his premiere product, JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer™ system and JT's RV Accessories was born.
